Hi! I am the founder of Kathryn's Pet Transport and you can call me Katy.  I love all kinds of animals, big or small, which makes the animal courier transport business right up my alley.  My love of them shines through as I use a variety of phrases such as 'Sweet Baby' and 'Paw Kid' as terms of endearment when referring to your beloved animal pet.

I may be in the middle of a transport and may not be available to answer when you call.  I encourage you to send an email, text, or Facebook message with your needs.  I will reply or call back when I am stopped and can offer you my full attention.  

I will connect with you to ensure all questions are answered and will provide you with an estimated cost to negotiate transport details. Once agreed, I will email a contract for you to sign.  A deposit will be required before the transport is considered booked and confirmed. 

It all depends on what type of animal and what service is agreed upon. These responses are general and refer mostly to dogs and cats.  Other domestic and wild animals may require different assistance while traveling.  Please ask if you have any questions about transport for animals other than a dog or cat.


For ground transportation, I will travel with your pet(s) exclusively, keeping safety and comfort a priority.  Generally, we will stop every two hours and when appropriate, your pet will be allowed out of the vehicle to potty and stretch.  I monitor your pet to determine if they need time to play or reassurance if traveling isn't their favorite activity.  I am completely available to you and your pet, answering your calls and keeping you updated on our progress and your pet's well-being. Please keep in mind that I typically drive 600-800 miles in a day depending on weather, traffic and construction so it may take multiple days for ground transport depending on the length of the route.  I offer exclusive transport and we take the most direct route.  


For flight nanny service assisting, I will also travel with your pet(s) exclusively for the duration of the flight and transport service.  Similar to ground transport I am focused on your pet's well-being.  This includes ensuring your pet is offered water and opportunities to stretch and potty regularly.  Communication in-flight is limited but you'll receive regular updates when not in flight.  


For cargo assist service, I can retrieve your pet from the cargo hold area immediately after the flight lands and offer attention to your pet within the airport. I will clean-up their hard-sided cage, offer water and food, an opportunity to potty and stretch as applicable.  For drop off, I will attend to their needs before departure and minimize their unattended travel time. As with all services, you will receive frequent communication regarding the travel details and my assessment of the well-being of your beloved pet.



I accept Zelle, ApplyPay, Wise, Cashapp, and Venmo.


I require at least 50% deposit along with the signed contract to confirm and consider the negotiated details booked. The remainder of the payment is due before or at the time of pick-up.


Yes. I have expertise in administering tablets, liquid medication, and injections.  I can stop to administer subcutaneous fluids.  I have a cooler that can be used if medications need refrigerating.  Please be detailed and we can agree before confirming the booking.


Yes, I am USDA-licensed in all states.  I am also PACFA licensed in the state of Colorado.  

USDA guidelines require hard-sided plastic carriers.  Wire cages are not allowed or used.  Soft-sided cases are allowed in some flight nanny arrangements. I am equipped with various sizes of hard-sided, USDA/PACFA approved transport carriers. 


Yes, I have the required pet and vehicle insurance.

Ground Transport

A service where I drive your ‘Paw Kid’ by car from one place to another within the United States. 

I have a spacious minivan where I provide one-on-one care through the duration of our travels. Safety and comfort are a top priority. Ground Transport is limited to transport for one customer at a time.

Independent Flight Nanny

International and Domestic

 

A service where I ride with your ‘Paw Kid’ on the flight from departure to arrival. 

Airlines establish the weight limits on whether the ‘Paw Kid’ travels in the cabin with me or in cargo (under the plane).

Cargo Assist

International and Domestic

 

A service where I provide a combination of Ground Transport with a drop-off or pick-up at the airport. When a ‘Paw Kid’ travels by air without me or unaccompanied, I can pick up or drop them off at the airport to complete their travel arrangements. 

My prompt and appropriate drop-off or pick-up service is important to your ‘Paw Kid's’ safety and well-being.
